Whatever you do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius and power, and magic in it.

TEC Ventures
TEC Ventures is a boutique seed fund that connects global entrepreneurs with Silicon Valley resources. We invest at the very early stage in extraordinary people who think out-of-the-box, are committed to disrupt big markets and change the world.
We are based in Palo Alto, California.
Our key focus areas are: Internet and software startups with specific interest in socially important businesses, Internet of things, education, enterprise, security, Big Data, & SaaS

Investment philosophy
We strongly believe that even with a great proven idea, company’s fate depends in large, if not in all, on its team. So our philosophy is to invest in people, rather than ideas. We have to “fall in love” with the team. However, there are other factors we take in mind when selecting a company. Our main idea selection criteria are based on this simple acronym: 2S2C
  • Substance: clear, sound, innovative, technologically feasible over short horizon
  • Scale: we are interested only in deals with large upside in case of success
  • Commercialization: market should be evident from the outset
  • Competitiveness: idea’s advantage over competition should be clear
Investment process
We typically invest between $25K - $150K, and our partners co-invest between $25K - $1M with the total round being between $500K to $1.2M.
Post-Investment strategy
We get actively involved with the company: sharing our roller deck, day-to-day mentoring and help with strategy, growth, hiring, partnerships & clients; access to top experts and advisors; connection with leading seed funds, angels, & VCs, bringing the company to the next level of funding and success.
